King's Church is overseen by a team of four Elders: Philip (Lead Elder), John, David and Mark
They work together with our Deacons, Venue Teams, and Wider Leadership Team.

Philip leads the team here at King's Church, having been a staff elder since 2013. He is married to Caroline, a clinical psychologist, and they have three young children. Prior to joining the staff team, Philip was a school teacher for 9 years and maintains his interest in history and anything remotely sporty!

Mark Goddard
John is married to Sophie and is dad to 4 teenage children. He loves Turkiye (having lived there as a family for many years), running and relaxing with people over a walk, meal or hot drink. John works for the church and is released a day a week to support the work of Unreached Network and to very slowly complete a masters in Contextual Theology. (If you ever want an urgent meeting with him, just say you want to talk about Unreached People Groups!)
Mark is happiest when he’s moving, preferably as fast as possible, on a bike, in a pool, down a mountain, or running around Richmond Park. It’s taken some time to become reconciled to his eldest son being a faster runner than he is! He’s also an enthusiastic climber and skier and can often be found on long walks with his dog, Rory.
Mark and his wife Kate have three teenage children who keep life lively, loud, and full of washing. The family has called New Malden home for over 20 years and can’t imagine living anywhere else.
When he’s not juggling family life, training sessions, or church commitments, Mark works full-time in London as an IT project manager.
