What to expect when visiting King’s Church
Trying a new church can feel a little awkward; we’ve all been there! Our goal is to make your visit easy, comfortable, and welcoming from start to finish.
Service times
Every first Sunday of the month, we meet as one church body, at one of our two venues. Other Sundays, we meet at both venues: in Thames Ditton (Speer Road, KT7 0PN) from 10:30AM, and in New Malden (Malden Road, KT3 6DR) from 4:30PM.
Love New Malden
On the 3rd Sunday each month, our New Malden service looks different. Instead of our usual format, we go into the community, and reach out to the people of New Malden. This is done by speaking and praying with people on the High Street, litter picking, or playing games in the local park
Parking at Thames Ditton
Off-street parking is available along the entirety of Speer Road. Please be mindful not to block any driveways.
There are two disabled parking spaces near the church: directly in front of the office’s entrance, and near the prayer room entrance.
Parking at New Malden
Parking is available at Holmwood Corner Surgery (at the corner of Malden Road and Cromwell Avenue) and on the surrounding streets.
There are disabled parking spaces at the Cavendish Road entrance of the URC.
When You Arrive
You’ll be greeted by some friendly people who are happy to help you find your way around. Whether you’re brand new to church or just checking things out, you’re welcome here.
The Service
Our services usually last about 90 minutes. You can expect:
— Sung worship (traditional and contemporary)
— A Bible-based message
— Separate sessions for children and teenagers
Children and Youth
We have safe, fun environments for children and teenagers during the service. If it’s your first time, our team will help you get checked in and answer any questions you may have about the sessions. For more information on King’s Kids, click here; for more information on Ignite Youth, click here
After the Service
You’re welcome to hang around, meet a few people, or head out right away! Whatever works best for you.
